Walter’s journey began in 1985 when he joined the United States Army, where he served as a communications sergeant. While in the military, he attended Armor School and Air Assault School. 

After completing his service, Walter moved to Dallas, Texas, where he began his career in the security industry. He first joined the volunteer safety staff at The Potter’s House, where he steadily rose through the ranks to become Captain. From there, Walter became the Supervisor of the in-house security team, gaining extensive experience in personal protection, church security (inside and outside the sanctuary), and property assessment. 

His leadership abilities led him to run security operations for The First Baptist Church of Dallas and, later, manage security at Word of Truth Family Church. While in Dallas, Walter met Cleo Jackson, who would become his mentor. Together, they founded Classic Security and Body Protection, a personal protection company. Walter rose to Assistant Chief and protected high-profile clients, including bishops, pastors, and various artists from the R&B, rap, and rock genres, and handled vehicle transport security.

Walter later relocated to Washington, D.C., where he worked on a federal contract, advancing to Supervisor. He received extensive training in active threat response, Milo simulation, move-and-shoot tactics, low-light operations, defense tactics, baton use, handcuffing, and first aid/AED. Additionally, he became an instructor in active threat and ballistic shield tactics through the House of Yeawoo LLC, under the mentorship of Curtis Yearwood.

Upon moving to Raleigh, North Carolina, Walter managed security at the Raleigh Convention Center and Performing Arts Center (PAC). He also managed a security site for USPS, continuing to apply his extensive experience and leadership in security.
